Introduction to Encaustic in September

Expand Your Art With Encaustic! Join me on Saturday, September 17 at the Northville Art House for an Introduction to Encaustic and learn more about this ancient art form using hot wax.

This introductory workshop is for artists at every level who are curious about this versatile medium and want to explore ways to incorporate it into their artwork. The session is structured to provide an introduction to the fundamentals of working with encaustic by combining demonstrations and work time, giving you a chance to explore the materials and tools.

All equipment, paints, and most materials are supplied by the instructor. Panels 5” x 7” and 8” x 10” will be provided for painting, and some items for collaging or embedding will be available. Participants are welcome to bring along any additional items they might like to work with, such as small drawings, papers, photos, beads, or other small mementos. (Additional $35 materials fee payable to instructor)
